Hi all, I only just started playing around with parameter automation last night and I'm lovin it, very easy and intuitive to use. I had a couple of quick questions though: Let's say I have a vocal track and I have created a send to another track (Reverb), and I have set the send level to -12db. Now I decide that I want to have no reverb at the beginning of the song and I want to slowly fade the reverb in as it comes into the first chorus. So I bring up the automation envelope for track send volume, make it start at -inf and ramp it up to -12db. This all works fine and I can hear the results as expected, but I noticed that the little send level dial on the mixer doesn't change along with the envelope, even at the beginning of the song it still reads -12. I was expecting the dial to respond to the envelope and therefore see the dial snap back to zero when I "rewind" the song, and slowly increase as it hits the ramp in the envelope. Was I wrong to expect that? Is there any way to enable that? Secondly, if this is the expected behaviour, then after you have introduced automation into the picture, does the setting of my reverb send level in the mixer even mean anything anymore?
