Dvd dectypter will not let me write to a dvd-rw 

Hi guys. Im trying to write to a dvd rw that has content on it. How do I wipe the disc clean so I can use it again. Thanks!!!

if you own a copy of nero burning rom just choose Recorder > clean Rewriteable if you don't own a copy - download the trial version at (don't know the english link) i've only tested it with CD-RW but it should also work with DVD -/+ RW regards steVe

Better still use the burning prog that came with your burner. It should also be able to clean the rw.

I did grab the trial version of nero and it works fine. The software that came with my pioneer does not have anything to clean a disc. At least not labeled so. This leads me to another question. Ive burned several titles to HD using DVD decrypter with sucess ( single layered dvds)and then on to my burner and Im having trouble with a title that after burned to a new dvdr it wont play. Any idea how to trouble shoot this. Thanks!!!!

did you just make a complete iso of the original dvd5 and then burn it again, or did you use another method? regards steVe

Hi Steve Yes I did burn a complete iso of the original dvd5 and then burned it again to disk using dvd decrypter in both case. Its always worked but in this case the new dvdr will not playback on anything. Ive gone through the process a few times to make sure I did not do anything wrong but the results are the same. I get no reported errors during the process.

Just right click on the drive selection box. On the menu that appears, you'll see 'erase'. Use it :)
