libmp3lame.dylib goes where??

The only place I can get it to work is in the Plugins folder WITHIN the Reaper.app package. Won't work in Application Support/Reaper/Plugins, .../User Plugins, or just loose in .../Reaper. SO every time Reaper is updated, we still have to drag the Mp3 plugin around?

Create a Reaper folder in your application folder then in the Reaper folder create a plugin folder. Place the file in that folder. That should work. It worked for me at least.

OK, cool. That works for me also, as long as Reaper is also in that folder. This will make updating much easier now. Thanks.

This works well enough, but I find it a little messy, is there a Application Support or Library folder somewhere that the LIB actually belongs?

Try placing the file where ever you choose and setting the Environment Variables.

I just put the Lame lib into the Reaper app. folder I created ie. no sub folders, and it works fine. But it does create a little more visual clutter in that folder.

the upgrade messed mp3 rendering up for me on my mac os. did everything described here as far as placement of dylib file for lame but still reaper refuses to find it please help anyone m
