Drag screen

I cant' find how to drag screen in reaper, or may be there is no such feature yet? By saying "drag screen" I mean pressing some key modifier and click'n'drag mouse so the screen's view will move along with mouse. It is possible in Live, Logic and Nuendo 4, may be in some other apps too.

You can only do that in the navigation window as of now. There have been quite a lot of requests for that feature in the main view, most people refer to it as "hand tool". Reflected has just bumped 3 of the FR threads and created another one saying the exact same thing (). I guess it would be about time to raise it as an issue in the issue tracker system.

No-no-no :)))) I've tried navigation window and it is not the same as if you use only mouse + key modifier. If you will post that feature request I will surely vote for it

Personally I am not interested enough, it's feeling slow to me when I try it in Photoshop, because you always have to regrab when you want to navigate in big projects or at high zooms. In Reaper I am very satisfied with mousewheel zoom and scroll. (I reconfigured a bit to taste, so my wheel will scroll horizontally without modifier). Which does not mean I would moan if a grabber hand was there, I'd definitely try if it fits my flow in certain situations :) I think the best idea would be to convince somebody who posts in those FR threads to raise it in the tracker or do it yourself.

Middle mouse button with the shift key but this can be changed around so shift enables scrub mode instead. It needs some love and on my wacom penpad its horrible. It doesn't stop until you click the button again.. I have made commands to zoom out to the whole song and others to zoom into a time selection instead for now. There are great zoom toggle commands in the SWS extensions too.

Pity, scrub mode is totally inconvenient. There is "hand tool" that works the same expected way in different applications. Anyway, there is already a feature request
